Elkhorn Lodge
Estes Park, Colorado
The Team visited this fall to investigate the Elkhorn. We thought we would have results released by Nov. 11, 2009, but there has been so much history and paranormal occurances discovered, we had to go back, again and again.........
History and Video:
Experience the Walking History of the oldest Lodge In Estes Park and Colorado. Established in 1877, but digging deeper we found the history dates back to a documented 3,000 year old Native American "Vision Quest" site located on the property. In 1876, a Syracuse New York merchant by the name of William James was diagnosed with Tuberculosis. He moved his wife Edna and three sons to Colorado and settled along the Fall River., originaly owned by the Reverend William H. McCreery, the local preacher. Though there has been only a few owners since the James Family, the Elkhorn has remained, virtually, unchanged. Come meet the seven "residents" that Haunted Dimensions has discovered and you can decide for yourself why they never checked out ......
Walking History:
The ghosts or "walking history" that has been seen is a turn-of-the century prostitute & her bouncer that has actually thrown rowdy guests around at parties at the Lodge, a homeless guy that was murdered is “allowed” to stay in a room completely blocked off so he won’t be disturbed, a horse with red eyes seen just before bad storms in the old stable, and a cowboy that rides up on his horse and asks, “Where can I tie up my horse?” just to name a few.
