 We stayed in our own backyard for this one. Go stay at this gem of our Manitou history. The owners are so kind, even the “walking history” won’t leave. This video is in post production now.

History:

Manitou Springs attracted the health-seeking crowd since it's inception. We believe, an unknown builder built The Avenue B&B in 1887. We discovered the Avenue B&B had 13 different owners through its history but the longest owner was Sally Banks.  Originally from Florida, Mrs. Banks fell in love with the area while vacationing with her son, Love. She bought the Avenue and expanded to allow boarders.

Walking History:

     A figure of a woman has been known to appear by a guest's bed, just to see if you need anything. A girl has been heard calling, "mama" by guests but the owner's daughter wasn't even home. A footman has been seen at the bottom of the steps asking, "May I call a carriage for you?"
